Suvi Nurmi, 2025

November. Writer, literary art instructor and visual artist Suvi Nurmi held poetry workshops for the group members of the Kaunisjärvi Wellbeing Centre and the residents of the Kokkila care home, using the communal poetry writing method developed by Nurmi and multi-artist Roscha A. Säidow, who was in residence in the summer of 2024. Individual responses to the same theme formed coherent and surprising poems.

The poetry workshops were carried out with the support of Teollisuuden Voima Ltd.

Suvi Nurmi, who lives in Vilppula, graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts’ Site and Situation-Specific Art program in 2011 and has been working professionally as an artist ever since.
