The Rauma Artists' Association was founded in 1945 to promote the status of artists and support local visual arts and culture through its activities. From the outset, an important task has been to organize annual joint exhibitions for members and to provide opportunities for young and early-career artists in particular to showcase their art. The aim is to create high-quality and engaging exhibitions that are also accessible to the general public. The association has 67 members, mainly from the Satakunta and Southwest Finland regions.

A working group formed a year ago came up with ideas for the anniversary program and put together a series of three themed exhibitions, Jatkumo (Continuum), with a strong focus on the future. Artists were challenged to come up with diverse and interesting interpretations of the theme, reflecting on the past and the future. The Continuum exhibitions focus on the artists' latest works and feature a wide range of painters, sculptors, and graphic artists. Previous exhibitions were on display at the Eura Main Library and the Crusell Cultural Center in Uusikaupunki during the spring and summer.
