Contemporary dance workshop is a weekly dance practice for youth and young adults. In the workshop we focus on contemporary dance techniques, pair and floor work and creation. Participants don't need to have previous dance experience. The workshop is taught by dancer Anniina Tammi on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.

In the bodypainting workshop we learn bodypainting techniques by drawing and painting exercises and in the end we create a common art piece. Participants in the workshop are not expected to have previous experience in drawing or painting, but interest in them is considered an advantage. The workshop will be led by artisan Tiina Kokkonen on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th.

Workshops are free of charge.

During the residency period, Tammi and Kokkonen have been working on a new work, SYNERGY, which explores new approaches to combining bodypaint and contemporary dance. The starting point for their work is to explore different ways in which a bodypaint artist can paint a dancer's body in motion. The final painting is completed at the same time as the dancer dances the choreography. The work of abstract painting and dance is suitable for children and adults to watch. The work will take about 15-20 minutes.

In addition to working at the Youth Center, Kokkonen and Tammi have held a dance workshop at the Rauma Reception Center and organized a body painting event Azalea for a small group.
