LTA's RaumArs residency in July 2026

Apply for the Regional Dance Centre of Western Finland’s residency in Rauma for July 2026.

Call for residency is open 14.11.-14.12.2025!

The goal of the residency is to increase the availability and accessibility of dance art in the region. You will work on your own practice in Rauma. As part of your residency work, you will bring dance art to the people in Rauma. Your work will be featured as part of the Rauma Lace Week festival 18.-26.7.2026.

Residency: 1.-31.7.2026.

During this period, you will receive a monthly regional center salary (conditional until the regional center's funding is confirmed), your workplace will be located in Rauma, and you will have a room and shared facilities at your disposal in the RaumArs ry residence. No separate support will be provided for travel or other expenses. Accommodation is for one person.

The residency is targeted at dance professionals.

The artist will be selected based on an anonymous work plan. The application must state what they intend to do during the residency period, how their work will be visible in the everyday life of Rauma residents and the urban environment, how it will affect their own artistic activities and how it can be linked to, for example, Finnish Visual Arts Day on 10 July and Lace Week.

The selection will be made in December and all applicants will be contacted. The residency period will be reported in a short residency report, which must be submitted within one month of the end of the period.

Submit a free-form application and a short CV by December 14, 2025. The application process is anonymous, so please ensure that your free-form application and CV do not include your name, age, gender, or contact details. This information will be asked for separately on the form. Applications may also be submitted in English or Swedish.
