Jack Faber, We’re Wolves (Olemme susia), 2025

August–September. Filmmaker Jack Faber combines audiovisual and community art in a project that he will implement during the years 2024–2026. The art project was launched at the Saari residency, continued with research in Rauma.

Community members contribute the project by personal stories, local history, ancient myths, dreams, and experiences related to wolves. The artist compiles the stories, documents, and drawings or physical expressions into a film. The final work will be presented as an immersive media art piece that explores the emotional and ethical dimensions of interspecies relationships. It combines issues related to climate and animal welfare. We’re Wolves invites us to see nature not as a threat but as home – and challenges us to rethink what we consider original, who we consider to be involved, and how to live in balance with others.
