While in residency in September, the American writer Amanda Wenger completed a draft of her second young adult novel, in which two girls from a copper mining town discover a strange faerie world beneath the mine. With the help of a disgraced knight, a faerie bookkeeper, and two necromancers who can't stay dead, the girls must navigate the politics of the faerie realm and protect the mortal world from an ancient threat that lurks below.
